Buying ceramic tiles is certainly a good idea. However, before you get down to making your choice, it is important to know what type of floor tiles you need. In the shops you usually find the two types:
- Floor tiles for the interior
- Floor tiles for the exterior
The interior ceramic tiles are suitable for all kinds of rooms that are in the house. It means you can place such floor for example into the kitchen, bathroom or any part of your house or flat.
Exterior ceramic tiles may be placed outside the house. They perfectly fit on the balcony, terrace or a pavement in the garden.
When choosing the tile floor it is necessary to bear in mind where it is going to be placed. Interior ceramic tiles are meant to be used exclusively in the interior and exterior ceramic tiles in exterior. The tiles differ from each other, especially in thickness and loading capacity. If you decided to use the interior ceramic tiles for example on an outside pavement, it could easily crack. The interior floor tiles are not very resistant against the ambient conditions, either. Rain, frost or snow may cause some damage.
However, the problem might also arise in an opposite way. Exterior floor tiles are rather thick to be used in the interior. For this reason just make sure the floor tiles you opted for are exactly the type you want.
